Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH SALMI On June 12, 2003 Elizabeth Salmi passed away peacefully at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, at the age of 82 years. She was predeceased by her husband Arne; son Paul; brothers, Walter and John. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Sandra (Leo) and son John (Bonnie) and grandchildren, Tara, Michael, Kevin and Chad, as well as many nieces and nephews and her brother Edward (Norma) and sister-in-law Carmen. Elizabeth was born in Zurich, Switzerland and came to Canada when she was five years old. She spent her childhood in Winnipeg and served in the Armed Forces during the Second World War. After the Second World War she met and married Arne on June 3, 1947. Elizabeth enjoyed curling, bowling and cards. She especially loved golfing and going on long road trips with her husband and best friend, Arne. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Middlechurch Home and the Interim Care Unit, 2nd floor at the Misericordia Hospital. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 19 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway.
